Dutch ..... Element met atoomnummer 35 en symbool Br dat tot de halogenengroep behoort. Het is het enige niet-metallische element dat vloeibaar is bij kamertemperatuur. Broom wordt aan zeewater onttrokken door een reactie met chloor en wordt gebruikt in verfstoffen, ontsmettingsmiddel en andere toepassingen. |
