Note: Refined, dehydroxylated form of the clay mineral kaolinite. Like other pozzolans, it will chemically react with calcium hydroxide at ordinary temperatures to form compounds possessing cementitious properties; and is used as a substitute for cement in some concrete mixtures. |

Dutch ..... Geraffineerde, gedehydroxyleerde vorm van het kleimineraal kaoliniet. Net als andere puzzolanen gaat het bij gewone temperaturen een chemische reactie aan met calciumhydroxide en vormt dan verbindingen met cementachtige eigenschappen. Het wordt als vervangingsmiddel voor cement gebruikt in sommige betonmengsels. |
