Note: A type of chevron bead carried by the Spaniards for trade to the New World, and first identified in an archeological site in Venezuela, from which they derived their name "Nueva Cadiz," an island which was a prosperous port from 1498-1545. They are usually made from three twisted layers of blue glass. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 一種山形紋琉璃珠,由西班牙人帶到新大陸作為交易之用,首次是在委內瑞拉的新卡地茲考古遺址發現,因而以之命名。新卡地茲是一個島嶼,在1498-1545年間是個繁榮的港口。此種串珠通常由三層摺曲的藍色玻璃製成。 |
Dutch ..... Type chevronkraal dat de Spanjaarden als ruilmiddel meebrachten naar de Nieuwe Wereld, en dat voor het eerst werd aangetroffen op een archeologische vindplaats in Venezuela, waaraan tevens de naam is ontleend: Nueva Cadiz is de naam van een eiland dat van 1498-1545 een bloeiende havenstad bezat. Meestal werden de kralen van vervaardigd uit drie gedraaide lagen blauw glas. |
