Note: Low-pitched metallophones of Thailand and Cambodia with a range of just over two octaves, consisting of a rectangular box-shaped trough resonator mounted on four short legs, with 17 iron or steel bars supported on narrow wood tracks along the tops of the sides of the resonator, which are tuned by filing away some of the metal on the underside. They are struck with two beaters, either hard or soft. For the Thai and Cambodian xylophones of the same range and tuning, use "ranat thum."

Chinese (traditional) ..... 指泰國和柬埔寨的低音立奏鐵琴,其音域僅稍微超過2個8度音階,由固定於4根短柱上的長方形箱槽狀共鳴器,以及17根鐵條或鋼條組成,鋼條由沿著共鳴器側邊頂部的木製窄琴軌所支撐,藉著移動下方某些金屬調音,以2根或軟或硬的敲槌敲擊演奏。若指音域和調音方式相同的泰國和柬埔寨木琴,則稱「泰式低音木琴」。  
Dutch ..... Slaginstrumenten met rechthoekige, gootvormige klankbodem op 4 pootjes, 17 ijzeren of stalen staafjes die rusten op smalle houten sporen bovenaan langs de kanten van de klankbodem, lage klank, bereik van 2¼ octaaf; bespeeld met 2 kloppers; Thailand, Cambodja.Gebruik: 'ranat thum' voor slaginstrumenten met hetzelfde bereik en dezelfde stemming met hardhouden of bamboe staafjes. 
German ..... Tiefgestimmtes Metallofon aus Thailand und Kambodscha mit einem Tonumfang von knapp über zwei Oktaven, bestehend aus einem rechteckigen, kastenförmigen Trog als Resonator, der auf vier kurzen Beinen ruht, mit 17 Stäben aus Eisen oder Stahl auf schmalen Holzschienen entlang der Oberseiten des Troges und gestimmt durch Abfeilen von Metall auf der Unterseite. Das Instrument wird mit zwei Schlägern angeschlagen, die hart oder weich sein können. Für das thailändische und kambodschanische Xylofon derselben Tonlage und Stimmung siehe ["Ranat thum"](300218276). 
Spanish ..... Xilófonos de tono bajo de Tailandia y Cambodia con un registro de un poco más de dos octavas que consisten en un resonador rectangular de batea en forma de caja, montado sobre unas patas muy cortas, generalmente con 17 barras de bambú o madera dura atadas en cordeles suspendidas en ganchos ubicados en las tablas inferiores del resonador. Se aplica pegamento de afinación a la parte inferior las barras y éstas se golpean con dos palillos. Para metalófonos de Tailandia y Cambodia del mismo registro y afinación, use "ranat thum lek”.
