Note: Refers to a style of Archaic Greek sculpture found on the Ionian Islands, off the southern coast of Peloponnesus. | Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een Archaïsch Griekse stijl in de beeldhouwkunst gevonden op de Ionische eilanden voor de zuidelijke kust van de Peloponnesus. De stijl kenmerkt zich door het gebruik van marmer in plaats van kalksteen, dat eerder algemeen werd gebruikt, door een toenemende vaardigheid in het weergeven van de menselijke anatomie, en door de ontwikkeling van nieuwe geometrische concepten. |
