Note: Refers to a Chinese Neolithic culture and period spanning ca. 2500 to ca. 2000 BCE. It is named after a site at Chengziyai, Zhangqiu county, in Shandong province; the site was excavated by Johan Gunnar Andersson in 1930 to 1931. Longshan is chiefly known through its pottery; the pottery style has been found in the region reaching from southern Manchuria through Hopei, eastern Honan and Shatung, and as far south as Chekeing. The style is characterized by black, burnished, often incised wares in a wide variety of shapes.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 西元前約2500年至西元前約2000年的中國新石器文化，安德生 (Johan Gunnar Andersson) 於1930至1931年在山東省章丘縣城子崖的龍山發掘遺址，故名。龍山文化最為人所知的是陶器，該陶器風格分布的區域由東北地區南部延伸至河北省、河南省東部、山東省，最南至浙江省，風格特色為光的黑陶，多半有雕花，有各式各樣的形狀。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een Chinese neolithische cultuur en periode tussen circa 2500 en 2000 v. Chr. De naam is ontleend aan een site in Chengziyai, in het gewest Zhangqiu van de provincie Shandong; de site is in 1930 en 1931 blootgelegd door Johan Gunnar Andersson.
