Note: Animal-drawn carts used historically to transport heavy materials such as manure. These may be considered particular to parts of Belgian and the Netherlands, though the general form of the two-wheeled cart is familiar to many places. These consist of an axle mounted to two wheels supporting a load-bearing platform. The distinguishing feature of the earth cart is that the mounts or beams for pulling the cart are separate hinged pieces attached to the support of the load platform so that the platform may be tilted while still mounted to a pack animal.

Additional Notes:
Dutch ..... Door een lastdier getrokken tweewielige kar met kantelbare bak, zonder vering. Deze werd hoofdzakelijk gebruikt voor goederentransport. Het belangrijkste kenmerk is dat de berriebomen van het berriestel en deze van het inspan uit afzonderlijke delen bestaan, die door een spil scharnierend met elkaar verbonden zijn.
