Note: Important form of classical Japanese dance drama that has been performed since the 14th century. It is often based on stories from traditional literature with a supernatural being transformed into human form as a hero telling a story. Noh integrates masks, costumes and various props into a dance-based performance, Emotions are mainly conveyed through stylised conventional gestures. |

Dutch ..... Belangrijke vorm van klassiek Japans dansdrama dat sinds de 14e eeuw wordt opgevoerd. Het is vaak gebaseerd op verhalen uit de traditionele literatuur met een bovennatuurlijk wezen getransformeerd in menselijke vorm als een held die een verhaal vertelt. Noh integreert maskers, kostuums en verschillende rekwisieten in een op dans gebaseerde voorstelling, Emoties worden voornamelijk overgebracht door gestileerde conventionele gebaren. |
