Note: Prehistoric shaft-hole axes with symmetric cutting edges at each side of the shaft. Found in stone, copper and bronze. The double axe was a common religious symbol in Minoan Crete and was also used as a votive object. |

Dutch ..... Prehistorische bijl met schachtgat met een symmetrisch snijblad aan elke kant daarvan. Zowel in steen, koper of brons teruggevonden. In de Minoïsche beschaving was het een veelvoorkomend religieus symbool en werd het ook als votief object gebruikt. |
