Note: Medieval Mudéjar textile type, a two sided non-reversible silk fabric with a herringbone twill ground with patterned motifs such as lozenge shapes, fleurs-de-lis, or lions. It is a complex silk weave with one warp system and two equal weft systems. Cloth of Aresta is preserved in many European churches as well as Las Huelgas, Burgos. |
