Dutch ..... Giersoort die vroeger veel voorkwam in de bergen in het westen van de Verenigde Staten. Ooit was de soort vrijwel uitgestorven, maar door broedprogramma's in gevangenschap is hij in stand gehouden. Dankzij een zorgvuldig gecontroleerd conserveringsprogramma worden er steeds meer van de vogels weer in het wild uitgezet. |
