Note: A mineral consisting of lead chromate that occurs in the oxidized zone of lead mineral veins. It is compositionally identical to the pigment chrome yellow but only secondarily related. The element chromium was found in this rare secondary mineral in 1787 and became the basis for the pigment which was subsequently produced synthetically. |

Dutch ..... Een mineraal dat bestaat uit loodchromaat en dat voorkomt in de geoxideerde zone van loodmineraaladeren. Qua samenstelling is het identiek aan het pigment chroomgeel, maar het is hieraan slechts secundair gerelateerd. Het element chroom is in 1787 in dit zeldzame secundaire mineraal gevonden en werd de basis voor het pigment, dat vervolgens synthetisch werd geproduceerd. |
