Note: Scripts cast or carved on Chinese bronze wares, appearing during the Shang, Western Zhou, and Eastern Zhou periods; were especially popular in the Western Zhou (11th century BCE to 771 BCE). Bronze scripts were derived from oracle bone scripts, and are considered by later antiquarians as containing primitive and archaic aesthetic values. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 為中國古代鑄或刻在青銅器上的銘文統稱,以商、西周至春秋戰國時期最為盛行(尤其是西周)。文字由甲骨文發展而來,有渾穆古雅的視覺效果。 |
Dutch ..... Schriftstijlen die werden gegoten of gegraveerd op Chinese bronzen vazen en die ontstonden in de Shang-, Westelijke Zhou- en Oostelijke Zhou-tijd; vooral populair tijdens de Westelijke Zhou-dynastie (11de eeuw tot 771 v.Chr.). Metalen schriftstijlen waren afgeleid van inscripties op orakelbotten en werden door latere oudheidkundigen beschouwd als dragers van primitieve en archaïsche esthetische waarden. |
