Note: Small boxes which contained the powdered tea used in the tea ceremony. These containers were made from a variety of materials including wood, dry lacquer, ceramic, metal, and black quartz. They were decorated in a variety of ways and were only used during the summer months. |

Dutch ..... Kleine doosjes om het theepoeder in te bewaren dat men gebruikte voor de theeceremonie. Ze werden gemaakt van verschillende materialen, onder meer hout, droog lakwerk, aardewerk, metaal en zwarte kwarts. Men versierde ze op diverse manieren en gebruikte ze alleen in de zomer. |
