|
Note: A Buddhist family altar or shrine found usually in Japanese homes, but also in temples. Generally a freestanding cabinet with two doors, in which are kept memorial items of dead ancestors and representations of divinities. Incense, candles, and flowers are offered at the butsudan in daily rituals. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 日本住家中常見的家庭式佛壇或佛龕,寺廟中也可見到。通常為兩門式獨立櫃,其中存放紀念已故先祖的物品及象徵神祇的物件。在日常敬拜儀式中,佛壇上供奉炷香、蠟燭和鮮花。 |
Dutch ..... Boeddhistische familiealtaren of relikwieënkasten, meestal in Japanse huizen, maar ook in tempels. Gewoonlijk een vrijstaande kast met twee deuren waarin men de aandenkens aan overleden voorouders en voorstellingen van godheden bewaart. Tijdens dagelijkse rituelen offert men bij de butsudan wierook, kaarsen en bloemen. |
