Note: Charts depicting a spherical (three-dimenisonal) arrangement of colors in which segments include the contiguous spectral hues of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors as well as colors mixed with progressively more black and white to create variations of hue, saturation and brightness. Contrasting colors are usually opposite one another in the sphere, moving toward the achromatic black and white on the surface at the poles or in the cut-away center of the sphere. Color spheres may vary depending upon whether they are intended to illustrate mixing of colored pigments, color perception, or color psychology.

| Dutch ..... Kaarten met een sferische (driedimensionale) weergave van een kleurenrangschikking waarbij de segmenten de aangrenzende spectraaltinten van primaire, secundaire en tertiaire kleuren bevatten, alsmede kleuren die zijn vermengd met een toenemende hoeveelheid zwart en wit, om zo variaties te creëren in tint, kleurverzadiging en helderheid. Contrasterende kleuren bevinden zich meestal tegenover elkaar in de bol, en bewegen zich naar achromatisch zwart of wit op het oppervlak van de polen in het opengewerkte midden van de bol. Er zijn verschillende typen kleurenbollen, afhankelijk van het doel: vermenging van kleurpigmenten, kleurwaarneming of kleurenpsychologie. |

Cartas que representan una esfera (tridimensional) dispuesta con colores en donde los segmentos incluyen matices espectrales contiguos de colores primarios, secundarios y terciarios, así como colores mixtos que progresivamente crean variaciones de matiz hacia el negro o blanco, con saturación o brillo.
Los colores contrastantes se encuentran usualmente opuestos los unos a los otros sobre la esfera, moviéndose a negro y blanco acromático sobre la superficie de los polos o en el corte transversal en el centro de la esfera. Las esferas del color pueden variar dependiendo de si su intención es ilustrar las mezclas de pigmentos coloreados, la percepción del color o sicología del color. |
