Note: Javanese metallophones consisting of thick bronze or iron slabs, usually six or seven but varying regionally, set on top of a wood trough or cradle, often elaborately carved, and struck with hammers of wood or horn. They exist in three sizes, and are important instruments in the Javanese gamelan. |

Chinese (traditional) ..... 指爪哇的鐵琴,通常由六至七片的厚青銅板或鐵板組成,但是數目因地區而異;青銅板或鐵板固定於木製溝槽或支架頂部,通常雕刻精緻,以木頭或獸角所製的琴鎚敲擊演奏。分為三種尺寸,為爪哇甘美朗合奏樂隊中的重要樂器。 |
Dutch ..... Javaanse metallofonen bestaande uit dikke bronzen of ijzeren platen, gewoonlijk zes of zeven maar met regionale verschillen, geplaatst op een houten trog of drager, vaak gedetailleerd bewerkt en beslagen met houten of hoornen hamers. Ze bestaan in drie formaten en zijn belangrijke instrumenten in de Javaanse gamelan. |
German ..... Metallofon auf Java, bestehend aus dicken Bronze- oder Eisenplatten, gewöhnlich sechs oder sieben, aber regional unterschiedlich; die Platten liegen auf der Oberseite eines Holztroges oder Gestells, oft kunstvoll geschnitzt, und werden mit einem Hammer aus Holz oder Horn angeschlagen. Sarons gibt es in drei Größen, und sie sind bedeutende Instrumente im javanischen Gamelan. |
