Note: Flexible or removable devices used to obstruct or regulate vision or light consisting of flexible panels or of horizontal or vertical slats that can be opened or closed, often with the angle of the slats adjustable to admit varying amounts of light. For heavier coverings, often of wood, permanently affixed to buildings, use "shutters." Prefer "shades (coverings)" for flexible screens, usually of paper, cloth, bamboo, or similar materials and sometimes mounted on a roller, used to obstruct or regulate vision or light.

Dutch ..... Bedekkingen die beweegbaar of afneembaar zijn en worden gebruikt om de hoeveelheid zicht en licht te regelen. Ze bestaan uit horizontale of verticale stroken die kunnen worden geopend of gesloten, waarbij de hoek die de stroken maken meestal kan worden ingesteld op verschillende hoeveelheden licht. Gebruik 'blinden (vensterbedekkingen)' voor jaloezieën die permanent aan gebouwen zijn bevestigd. Gebruik 'louvres' voor dergelijke bedekkingen van hout. Geef de voorkeur aan 'schermen (bedekkingen)' voor eveneens beweegbare bedekkingen die niet uit stroken bestaan. 
Spanish ..... Artefactos flexibles o amovibles usados para obstruir o regular la visión o la luz que consisten en tablillas horizontales o verticales que se pueden abrir o cerrar, a menudo con el ángulo de las tablillas regulable para recibir diversas cantidades de luz.
