Note: The tiles that bridge the open joint between rows of tiles in a roof. For example, in ancient Greek architecture, the roof tile (imbrex) of terracotta or marble, usually semicircular (Laconian) or triangular (Corinthian) in section, bridged the open joint between two rows of flat tiles or pantiles (tegulae). |

Bijvoorbeeld in de Oudgriekse architectuur, de dakpan (imbrex) van terracotta of marmer, meestal halfcirkelvormig (Laconisch) of driehoekig (Korinthisch) in doorsnede, die de open voeg tussen twee rijen 'vlakke dakpannen' of 'holle pannen' (tegulae) overbrugt. |
Spanish ..... En la arquitectura griega antigua, la teja de techo (imbrex) de terracota o mármol, habitualmente de sección semicircular (laconiana) o triangular (corintia), que cabalga las juntas abiertas entre dos hileras de tejas planas o tejas de cimacio (tegula). |
