Note: Refers mainly to the style of architecture produced during the reign of Edward VII (1901-1910) though some authors date it from 1890, when the Gothic became less predominant and architectural style became more eclectic, to 1914 when building halted because of World War I. Often noted for its ebullience or opulent and monumental qualities, Edwardian architecture actually reflects the development of several architectural movements, namely the Baroque and Neoclassical Revivals, the Beaux-Arts Style, and the Arts and Crafts Movement.

| Dutch ..... B Verwijst vooral naar de architectuurstijl die ontstond tijdens de regering van de Britse koning Edward VII (1901-1910). Sommige auteurs dateren de stijl vanaf 1890, toen de gotiek minder overheersend en de architectuurstijl meer eclectisch werd, tot 1914, toen de bouwactiviteit tot stilstand kwam als gevolg van de Eerste Wereldoorlog. De stijl is te herkennen aan de uitbundige of opulente en monumentale kwaliteiten. Edwardiaanse architectuur weerspiegelt de ontwikkeling van verschillende architectuurbewegingen, te weten de barok en het neoclassicisme, de Beaux-Arts en de Arts and Crafts-beweging. |

Se refiere principalmente al estilo de arquitectura producido durante el reinado de Eduardo VII (1901-1910) aunque algunos autores lo fechan desde 1890, cuando el Gótico se volvió menos predominante y el estilo arquitectónico se puso más ecléctico, hacia 1914 cuando se paralizó la construcción debido a la Primera Guerra Mundial. Muchas veces célebre por su efervescencia y por sus opulentas y monumentales características, la arquitectura Eduardiana refleja el desarrollo de varios movimientos arquitectónicos, a saber los Renacimientos, Barroco y Neoclásico, el estilo Bellas Artes y el Arts and Crafts. |
