Note: Traditional headdresses that unmarried women may wear on certain holidays, at festivals and, finally, at their wedding. These are common to central or Northern Europe, and designs vary regionally. In parts of Europe during the Middle Ages, they were decorated with flowers, fir branches, herbs and ripe fruits. Dutch ..... Een traditioneel hoofdtooi dat in Midden- en Noord-Europa door alleenstaande vrouwen wordt gedragen op bepaalde feestdagen, festivals en uiteindelijk op hun bruiloft. Het ontwerp van de kronen is zeer gevarieerd en hangt af van de plaats en de streek. In de middeleeuwen werden ze versierd met bloemen, sparrentakken, kruiden en rijpe vruchten. Vanaf de 17de eeuw tot nu worden duurdere materialen gebruikt, zoals parels, spiegels, zilver en goud. |
