Note: A type of velocipede generally intended for children, the body of which appears in the shape of a horse's body. Tricycle horses appeared in the mid 19th century and wheels of early examples were usually made of wood but during the 1860s these were superseded by metal spokes.

| Dutch ..... Vélocipèdes of paarden op drie wielen verschenen in het midden van de 19de eeuw. De oudste exemplaren worden gekenmerkt door een slank lichaam en een smal hoofd. Deze bestonden meestal uit hout met een ijzeren loopvlak. Rond circa 1865 werden deze vervangen door wielen met ijzeren spaken. |
