Note: Sedimentary deposits which contain large amounts of preserved fossils. Paleontologists divide them into two subtypes: Konservat-Lagerstätten and Konzentrat-Lagerstätten. The latter relates to desposits of fossils that are concentrated by sedimentological processes which do not preserve details (such as organs), and the former refers to deposits containing a large concentration of fossils that are exceptionally well-preserved. |

Dutch ..... Sedimentaire afzettingen die grote hoeveelheden bewaard gebleven fossielen bevatten. Paleontologen verdelen ze in twee subtypen: Konservat-Lagerstätten en Konzentrat-Lagerstätten. De laatste verwijst naar afzettingen van fossielen die zich in een geconcentreerde toestand bevinden door sedimentologische processen waarbij geen details (zoals organen) bewaard blijven, en de eerste verwijst naar afzettingen met een grote concentratie fossielen die uitzonderlijk goed bewaard zijn gebleven.
