Note: Medicinal concoction of varying ingredients, usually a fermentation of herbs and other ingredients. It was used as an antidote to poison and bites of venomous serpents. First known by the Greeks in the 1st century CE; widely adopted in the ancient world in Europe, China, and India through trade along the the Silk Road. |

Dutch ..... Medicinaal brouwsel van wisselende ingrediƫnten, meestal gefermenteerde kruiden en andere ingrediƫnten. Het werd gebruikt als tegengif bij vergiftiging en beten van giftige slangen. Het was voor het eerst bekend bij de Grieken in de 1ste eeuw n. Chr. en werd via handel langs de zijderoute op grote schaal overgenomen in de oudheid in Europa, China en India.
