Note: Photographs produced by using photosensitive plant material. An emulsion of crushed flower petals or light-sensitive plants, fruit, or vegetables is created, then spread onto a sheet of paper and dried. The material to be imaged is placed on the paper and exposed to direct sunlight. The technique to create anthotypes was discovered by Sir John Frederick William Herschel ca. 1842. |

Dutch ..... Foto's die worden geproduceerd met behulp van fotogevoelig plantenmateriaal. Er wordt een emulsie gemaakt van gemalen bloemblaadjes of lichtgevoelige planten, vruchten of groenten. Deze wordt op een vel papier gesmeerd en gedroogd. Datgene waarvan een afbeelding moet worden gemaakt, wordt op het papier geplaatst en aan direct zonlicht blootgesteld. Deze techniek is omstreeks 1842 door sir John Frederick William Herschel ontdekt. |
