Dutch ..... Metaalelement met symbool Sc en atoomnummer 21, een zeldzame aarde. Scandium is een zacht, zilverachtig wit metaal dat niet dof wordt onder invloed van lucht. Het werd in 1879 ontdekt, maar tien jaar eerder was het al voorspeld, waarbij het de oorspronkelijke naam 'ekaboron' kreeg. |
