Note: Blue-green monoclinic crystalline mineral, a hydrated basic phosphate of copper and zinc. Technical examination in 2008 revealed that veszelyite was used as a pigment in mosaic and polychrome masks and funerary offerings from the royal tombs of Calakmul, Mexico. |

Dutch ..... Blauwgroen monoclien kristallijn mineraal, een gehydrateerd basisch fosfaat van koper en zink. Uit technisch onderzoek in 2008 bleek dat veszelyiet als pigment was gebruikt in mozaïeken en meerkleurige maskers en in begrafenisofferandes uit de koninklijke graftomben van Calakmul in Mexico. |
