Note: Pigment composed largely of the mineral aerinite, a light blue clay mineral. An example of usage as a pigment is in Romanesque mural paintings of southwestern France. It is resistant to chemicals, heat, and light although it changes to a green-blue shade when heated. |

Dutch ..... Pigment dat hoofdzakelijk bestaat uit aeriniet, een lichtblauw kleimineraal. Als pigment werd het bijvoorbeeld gebruikt in Romanesque muurschilderingen in het zuidwesten van Frankrijk. Het is bestand tegen chemicaliƫn, hitte en licht, al neemt het wel een groenblauwe kleur aan wanneer het verwarmd wordt. |
