For the filling in of earth removed, use "backfilling." |

Dutch ..... Opnieuw begraven. In een conserveringscontext verwijst de term naar het opnieuw begraven van menselijke resten of culturele objecten die tijdens een opgraving zijn gevonden of blootgelegd. Redenen hiervoor kunnen te maken hebben met ethiek (wat betreft dingen die opzettelijk begraven zijn) of bescherming (zoals bij het herbegraven van een oud mozaïek om verdere aantasting te voorkomen). Gebruik 'dichtgooien' voor het opnieuw opvullen van afgegraven aarde. |
