Dutch ..... Een zwakke basische verbinding (C5H4N4O2) die verwant is aan urinezuur en wordt aangetroffen in diverse organen en uitscheidingen van dierlijke lichamen en planten. Het vormt een citroengele verbinding met salpeterzuur. Het wordt verkregen uit guanine en hypoxanthine, en geeft urinezuur bij oxidatie. |
