Verwijst naar een projectie die doorgaans wordt gebruikt in de cartografie en waarbij het oppervlak van de aarde of een ander hemellichaam zodanig wordt afgebeeld dat een rechte lijn vanaf het middelpunt tot elk willekeurig ander punt de kortste afstand weerspiegelt die op schaal kan worden gemeten. Dit type projectie wordt vaak gebruikt om afstanden en richtingen vanaf een bepaalde stad te laten zien, en de metingen zijn alleen nauwkeurig voor het geselecteerde middelpunt. |
| Spanish ..... Refiere a una proyección que representa una porción de un globo como disco aplanado. Es de uso frecuente en cartografía y representa típicamente una sección de la tierra o de un cuerpo según lo visto de un punto en el centro del globo. Este tipo de proyección es de uso frecuente en distancias y direcciones de una ciudad, y las medidas son exactas solamente cuando están tomadas del punto central seleccionado. |
