Note: In ancient Greek architecture, the flat tile or pantile with a decorative nosing used on the eaves (with antefixes) as a substitute for the sima (terracotta or marble gutter of a building). In modern construction, tile, usually shorter or plainer than other roofing tile, used in the first course of tile along the eaves of a building. |

Dutch ..... Een term uit de oude Griekse architectuur voor de platte dakpan of Hollandse pan met een decoratieve neus, gebruikt voor de overhangende dakranden (met antefixen) als vervanger van de neuslijsten (terracotta of marmeren dakgoot van een gebouw). In de tegenwoordige bouwkunst is de onderpan een dakpan die doorgaans korter of eenvoudiger is dan andere dakpannen, en wordt gebruikt in de eerste rij pannen langs de dakranden van een gebouw. |
Spanish ..... En la arquitectura griega antigua, la teja plana o teja de cinabrio con una protuberancia decorativa utilizada en los aleros (con antefijas) como sustituto para la sima (canalón de terracota o mármol de un edificio). En la construcción moderna, teja habitualmente más corta o más plana que otras tejas de techumbre, utilizada en la primera hilera de tejas en los aleros de un edificio. |
