Een financiële toelage voor studenten op basis van noodzaak of geschiktheid, meestal uit het fonds van een school, college of universiteit voor het dragen van de kosten van de opleiding. Te onderscheiden van 'toelagen', studiebeurzen die worden toegekend aan ongediplomeerden en niet aan gediplomeerden, die bovendien nog geen studierichting hebben gekozen. |
| Spanish ..... Un premio financiero basado en necesidad o mérito dado a un estudiante, normalmente de los fondos de una escuela, academia o universidad, con el propósito de costear el costo de la educación. Distinto de confraternidad en que se otorgan becas a los miembros de una comunidad de estudiantes universitarios, más bien que a los graduados y el curso de estudio no es especificado. |
