Note: A gem cut named for its creator, Vincenzio Peruzzi, a 17th century Venetian lapidary. He applied a brilliant form of cutting, i.e. with 56 facets, a table and a culet. It was seen as an improvement over the earlier Mazarin cut. |

Hij paste een briljante vorm van slijpen toe, namelijk met 56 facetten, een tafel en een kollet. Het werd gezien als een verbetering ten opzichte van het eerdere Mazarinslijpsel. |
