Note: A rose cut fashioned with 24 facets on the top side and a flat bottom side. This particular cut originated in Amsterdam in the 17th century, hence the name. The name, however, is only commonly used from the 18th century. The cut is to be distinguished from an 'Antwerp rose cut'. |

Dutch ..... Een roosslijpsel gevormd door 24 facetten aan de bovenzijde en een vlakke onderkant. Dit slijpsel is ontstaan in Amsterdam in de 17e eeuw, vandaar de naam. De naam is wel pas gangbaar vanaf de 18de eeuw. Het slijpsel is te onderscheiden van een 'Antwerps roosslijpsel'. |
