bulking machines (textile machines, <textile fabricating tools and equipment>, ... Furnishings and Equipment (hierarchy name)) |
|
Note: Mechanized devices, equipped with air-jet chambers, used to increase the thickness and volume of yarns or fibers, thus creating air spaces in the fibers for increased abosrbancy, ventilation, warmth, and softness. To initiate the air entanglement process, of which these devices are a primary example, yarns or fibres are fed through machine guides and over feed rollers into the air-jet chambers, where they are subsequently entrapped and subjected to air at high pressures. The air movement causes the fibers to interlock and tangle, increasing the thickness of the fibers or yarn. |
