Note: Species of low spiny shrub; the fruit and bark are used to extract dye and for medicinal purposes. On an aluminum mordant, the berries produce a yellow-green colorant. See also the narrower term "Rhamnus saxatilis ssp infectorius." In some classifications, R.infectorius is considered a synonym of R.saxatilis rather than a subspecies. |

Dutch ..... Een lage, stekelige struiksoort, waarvan de vrucht en de schors gebruikt worden als geneesmiddel en om kleurstof te produceren. Op een bijtmiddel van aluminium produceren de bessen een geelgroene kleurstof. Zie ook de meer nauw gedefinieerde term 'Rhamnus saxatilis ssp infectorius'. Volgens sommige classificaties is R. infectorius een synoniem van R. saxatilis, in plaats van een ondersoort. |
