Note: Type of bobbin lace made in Paris from the 18th century onwards. This firm lace, not fit for gathering, is characterized by its hexagonal mesh, which is formed by intertwining triangles. The pattern consists mostly of flowers, leaves or vines or occasionally animal figures. |

Dutch ..... Soort kloskant die sinds de 18de eeuw in Parijs werd gemaakt. Het is een stevige kant die minder geschikt is om te worden gefronst. Het voornaamste kenmerk is de zeshoekige tralie, die gevormd wordt door het door elkaar kruisen van driehoeken. De tekening bestaat vooral uit bloemen, bladeren of ranken, soms ook uit dierenmotieven. |
