Note: Electron energy loss spectroscopy measures the energy of scattered electrons reemitted from surfaces after bombardment by an electron beam, thus determining the distribution of energy loss. Provides data complementary to Auger electron spectroscopy which operates according to the same principle but uses a different process to produce the electrons. |

Dutch ..... Met deze techniek wordt de energie gemeten van verspreide elektronen die door een oppervlak zijn weerkaatst nadat het door een elektronenstraal getroffen is. Op deze manier wordt de verdeling van het energieverlies vastgesteld. Deze techniek levert gegevens op die als aanvulling dienen bij de resultaten van Auger electron spectroscopy, een techniek die volgens hetzelfde principe werkt maar een ander proces hanteert om de elektronen te produceren. |
