Note: Ceramic wares made at kiln sites in Kagoshima Prefecture (formerly the Satsuma domain) in southern Kyushu, from the early 17th century to the present. Wares include items used for tea ceremonies and everyday use, such as "sharkskin" ware and copies of Sawankhalok ware, a Thai ware decorated with underglazed iron-oxide painting.

| Dutch ..... Keramiek dat vanaf de 17e eeuw tot het heden in ovens in de Kagoshima-prefectuur (voorheen het domein Satsuma) in het zuiden van Kyushu wordt geproduceerd. Satsuma-goederen zijn onder andere voorwerpen voor theeceremonies en dagelijks gebruik, waaronder ook 'haaienhuid'-aardewerk en kopieën van Sawankhalok, een Thaise aardewerksoort met onderglazuur en ijzeroxideschildering. |
