Note: Refers to oxalate with ammonia commercially produced as colorless crystals used for dyeing textiles and in other applications. In conservation, ammonium oxalate in solution is used as a treatment for calcium carbonate based surfaces (such as limestones, marbles, historical wall paintings). It forms a protective layer of calcium oxalate on surfaces through chemical reaction. |

Dutch ..... Een oxalaat met ammoniak, commercieel geproduceerd in de vorm van kleurloze kristallen, die gebruikt worden voor het verven van textiel en voor andere toepassingen. In de context van conservering wordt een oplossing van ammoniumoxalaat gebruikt in de behandeling van oppervlakken op calciumcarbonaatbasis, zoals kalksteen, marmer en historische muurschilderingen. Het vormt dan door een chemische reactie een beschermende deklaag van calciumoxalaat. |
