Dutch ..... Genus van ongeveer 25 soorten grove grassen die 2 meter hoog worden, vele met rood- tot paarszwarte pluimen. Men verbouwt deze grassen wereldwijd als voedsel en veevoer, maar sommige soorten zijn niet veredeld en zijn een vervelend onkruid voor de landbouw. De soorten uit dit genus komen voor in gematigde tot tropische gebieden in de hele wereld. |
