Note: Literally meaning "narrow format", this term refers to small format Japanese prints. The standard size was approximately 330 x 145 mm or 11.8 x 5.9 inches. This format was employed extensively for actor prints in the 18th century until it was replaced by the "oban", larger format prints.

Chinese (traditional) ..... 字面上的意義是「狹窄的格式」,此詞彙用以指稱小格式的日本版畫。標準尺寸約為330公分乘以145公分或11.28英吋乘以5.9英吋。此格式在西元十八世紀間專門用於製作演員版畫,直到較大格式的版畫「大判」加以取而代之為止。 
Dutch ..... Letterlijk ���smal formaat'. De term verwijst naar Japanse afdrukken met een klein formaat. De standaardmaat was ongeveer 330 x 145 mm. In de achttiende eeuw gebruikte men dit formaat veelvuldig voor blokdrukken, tot het werd vervangen door de ���oban': afdrukken met een groter formaat. 
German ..... Wörtliche Bedeutung "schmales Format"; dieser Begriff bezieht sich auf einen kleinformatigen japanischen Druck. Die Standardgröße war ungefähr 330 x 145 mm oder 11,8 x 5,9 Zoll. Dieses Format wurde ausgiebig für Schauspielerdrucke im 18. Jahrhundert verwendet, bis es durch die "Oban", großformatigere Drucke, ersetzt wurde.
