Note: Refers to the work of a school of printmakers working in the Ukiyo-e style in Osaka between the middle of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. Related mostly to the kabuki theater, the style is characterized by large format prints of heads or full length figures of actors, that appeared in the 1840's. In the Meiji period (1868-1912), many scenic views and historical prints were published, but the style had adapted to the conventions of Tokyo schools.

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar het werk in de Ukiyo-e-stijl van een school van prentkunstenaars in Osaka tussen het midden van de 18de eeuw en het begin van de 19de eeuw. De stijl is nauw gerelateerd aan het kabukitheater en kenmerkt zich door prenten in groot formaat van hoofden of van acteurs die in de volle lengte worden afgebeeld. De prenten verschenen in de jaren 40 van de 19de eeuw. In de Meiji-periode (1868-1912) werden veel panorama's en historische prenten gepubliceerd, maar de stijl was aangepast aan de conventies van de scholen in Tokyo. 
Spanish ..... Se refiere al trabajo de la escuela de los pintores que trabajan en el estilo de Ukiyo-e en Osaka entre el siglo XVIII y XIX. Relacionado sobre todo con el teatro del kabuki, el estilo es caracterizado por las impresiones de formato grande de cabezas o de figuras, en el periodo de 1840's. En el período de Meiji (1868-1912), muchas visiones escénicas e impresiones históricas fueron publicadas, pero el estilo se había adaptado a las convenciones de las escuelas de Tokio.
