The style is characterized by work executed in poryphyry with an almost total disappearance of physical likeness and anatomical structure, and an emphasis on the expressive function of the eyes. |

Dutch ..... Verwijst naar de periode en stijl in de kunst, met name de beeldhouwkunst, die samenviel met de periode van de Tetrarchie tijdens de tweede helft van de 3de eeuw. De stijl kenmerkt zich doordat veel werken in porfier werden uitgevoerd en door het bijna volledig verdwijnen van fysieke gelijkenis en anatomische bouw. De expressieve functie van de ogen werd daarentegen benadrukt. |
Spanish ..... Se refiere al período y estilo de arte, predominantemente escultura, que coincidió con el gobierno de los Tetrarcas durante la segunda mitad del siglo III d.C. El estilo se caracteriza por trabajos ejecutados en poryphyry con una desaparición casi total de semejanza física y estructura anatómica y un énfasis en la función expresiva de los ojos. |
