Note: Refers to a regional school of Pahari miniature painting associated with the Nurpur state of the Punjab Hills. It was a less isolated state then other Punjab Hill states and its rulers were generals and governors of the Mughal empire during the early 17th century. While stylistically distinct, the Nurpur school was indebted to Mughal painting, particularly in regards to portraiture. A bolder style was used for other genres. These two styles coalesced in the early 18th century: facial features are less exaggerated, color is more controlled, and landscapes are stylized. 18th-century Nurpur painting was influenced by the painting styles of Guler and Jammu, with more naturalistic and delicate results. A vertical format is favored and tall, graceful female figures with small heads are common. Court life in Nurpur diminished in the second half of the 18th century as did its painting.

| Chinese (traditional) ..... 指帕哈里細密畫的一支地區畫派，與位於旁遮普山丘的奴浦邦（Nurpur state）有關。相較於其他旁遮普山丘諸邦，奴浦邦的地理位置較不偏僻，且西元十七世紀早期的統治者也大多是蒙兀兒王朝的將軍與首長。奴浦邦雖受到蒙兀兒繪畫的影響，尤其在肖像畫法方面，但仍具有獨特風格。在其他繪畫種類的表現上則風格較為大膽。這兩種風格在西元十八世紀早期融合：較為含蓄的臉部特徵，用色較節制，風景也更風格化。在古勒畫風與查謨畫風的影響下，十八世紀的奴浦繪畫變得較為自然且細緻。此時較偏好垂直的畫面格式，頭部小巧而舉止優雅的女性人像則相當普遍。奴浦的宮廷生活在十八世紀後半葉開始走下坡，繪畫風格亦然。 |
| Dutch ..... Verwijst naar een regionale school van Pahari-miniatuurschilderkunst die wordt geassocieerd met de staat Nurpur in het heuvelgebied van Punjab. De staat lag minder afgelegen dan andere heuvelstaten in Punjab, en begin 17de eeuw was het bestuur in handen van generaals en gouverneurs van het Mogolrijk. De Nurpur-school had weliswaar een eigen stijl, maar was daarnaast schatplichtig aan de Mogol-schilderkunst, met name wat de portretkunst betreft. Bij andere genres werd voor een meer expressieve stijl gekozen. Aan het begin van de 18de eeuw kwam het tot een synthese tussen de twee stijlen: gelaatstrekken werden minder extreem, het kleurgebruik werd meer ingetogen en de landschappen kregen een meer gestileerd karakter. De Nurpur-schilderkunst uit de 18de eeuw stond onder invloed van de schilderstijl van Guler en Jammu, wat leidde tot een naturalistischer en verfijnder resultaat. Een staand formaat geniet de voorkeur en vaak worden rijzige, sierlijke vrouwenfiguren met een klein hoofd afgebeeld. In de tweede helft van de 18de eeuw raakte het hofleven in Nurpur in verval, evenals de schilderkunst. |
| Spanish ..... Se refiere a una escuela regional de pintura Parí en miniatura asociada con el estado de Nurpur de las Colinas de Punjab. Era entonces un estado menos aislado que otros estados de la colina Punjab y sus gobernantes fueron los generales y gobernadores del imperio Mughal durante principios del siglo XVII. Aunque estilísticamente distinto, la escuela Nurpur está en deuda con la pintura Mughal, particularmente respecto al retrato. Un estilo más atrevido se usó para otros géneros. Estos dos estilos se unieron a principios del siglo XVIII: los rasgos faciales son menos exagerados, el color se controla más y se estilizan los paisajes. La pintura Nurpur del siglo XVIII fue influenciada por los estilos de pintura de Guler y Jammu, con resultados más naturalistas y delicados.
