Note: A white marble from ancient Phrygia (present-day Turkey); it is usually ivory or milky white and sometimes contains shell fragments or faint gray or chocolate brown spots. It is rarely found in large blocks but was often used as tiny square chips in ancient mosaics. |

Dutch ..... Een witte marmersoort uit het oude Frygië (in het hedendaagse Turkije); is gewoonlijk ivoorkleurig of melkwit en bevat soms schelpfragmenten of lichtgrijze of chocoladebruine vlekken. Wordt zelden gevonden in grote blokken maar werd vaak gebruikt in de vorm van kleine vierkante stukjes in oude mozaïeken. |
Spanish ..... Mármol blanco de la antigua Frigia (actualmente Turquía) habitualmente color marfil o blanco lechoso, que a veces contiene fragmentos de moluscos o manchas gris apagado o chocolate. Se encuentra rara vez en grandes bloques, pero fue utilizado en cuadrados pequeños en los antiguos mosaicos.
