Dutch ..... Een grofkorrelige kalksteen, hoofdzakelijk samengesteld uit gecementeerde pisolieten (erwtvormige aangroeilichamen), vaak gevormd van calciumcarbonaat, dat geproduceerd kan zijn door een biochemisch algenaanzettingsproces. Pisolieten zijn groter en minder regelmatig van vorm dan oölieten. |
Spanish ..... Caliza de grano grueso compuesta principalmente de pisolitos cementados, que son cuerpos de acrementación del tamaño de un guisante, a menudo de carbonato de calcio, producidos por un proceso bioquímico de incrustación de algas. Los pisolitos son más grandes y de forma menos regular que los oolitos.
