Fridays Off the 405 features free live music and a cash bar. The galleries will be open as well so you can explore your animalistic tendencies in our premiere presentation Oudry's Painted Menagerie, stare straight into the light in Radiant Darkness: The Art of Nocturnal Light, and enjoy the rest of our spring exhibition lineup. May 4, 2007: Evan Bluetech and Nalepa
Evan Bluetech delivers a vivid, distinct sound that is both modernistic and retro, with a blend of ear-popping mixes that cross all genres from electronica and ambient to reggae. His sound emerges from his custom-built Reaktor instruments and software-based synthesizers as a primordial electro-dub alchemy. His classical piano background, love of melody, and exquisite sense of sound design make him one of the most ingenious producers today. This is definitely music to chill to.

Opening the evening is L.A.-based DJ Nalepa, who crafts songs by fusing together deep dub bass, glitchy breaks, bioacoustic atmospheres, and beautiful sinewave melodies. He has performed among some of the most talented electronic music artists including Murcof (Leaf), Jimmy Edgar (Warp), John Tejada (Plug Research), and now he'll be performing for you.
