Pcard, Travel, and Docusign Updates

Procurement and Contract Services has posted its April newsletter on GO, with year-end reminders, news, and resources.

Media Management (OTMM) Upgrade

OTMM will be upgraded to 16.5, the latest version. Although the core functionality is the same, this new version will provide a number of enhancements, including a new look and feel, full support for all major browsers (including Safari), a different way to access Detail View, easy renaming of assets and folders, custom download transformations, 3D image support, and the ability to export metadata to a spreadsheet. The upgrade will begin Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will be complete by Thursday at 7 a.m. If you use your customized home page often, make a note of what folders and searches you have saved there, as you will need to set up your home page again after the upgrade. Otherwise, simply enjoy the added features.

NEWS

Bringing a 100-Year-Old Reference Online

In 1919, a French archaeologist started the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum, or CVA, hoping to catalog every ancient painted vase in the world. Nearly 400 volumes, compiling some 100,000 vases, have been published to date, making the CVA one of the most important resources for researchers in ancient Greek art and culture. Getty’s most recent addition to the CVA is the first born-digital, open-access volume of this essential series. In this Art + Ideas episode, Despoina Tsiafakis, the author of Getty’s new CVA volume and the director of research at the Athena Research and Innovation Center in Greece, speaks with Getty curator David Saunders and Getty digital publications manager Greg Albers about the history of the CVA and the process of bringing the series to a new digital platform.

George Grosz Watercolors Tell Fuller Story

The artworks and letters of German émigré artist George Grosz, part of the Richard Simms collection in the GRI, are now available for research. Senior special collections cataloger Isabella Zuralski-Yeager tells how some beachy watercolors within the collection fill a gap in the scholarship about Grosz.
